Air Canada Rouge was welcomed with a water salute at Zagreb Airport (ZAG) as it commenced the new seasonal service from Toronto to Zagreb.

The inaugural flight which landed on June 3 had over 200 passengers on board and marked the return of the Air Canada brand to Croatia after 27 years.

Flights will operate four times weekly, departing Toronto for Zagreb on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. They will run the service until October 2018. The airline will offer a total 20,586 seats each way between Toronto and Zagreb during that period.

Air Canada Rouge operates the new route on a Boeing 767-300ER. The flight time is 9 hours and 25 minutes. The Toronto hub offers passengers smooth connections to many destinations in Canada and the US.
