Today, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and London City Airport (LCY) launched a new route between London City and Amsterdam, with the inaugural flight landing at 07:20 this morning.

The first flight from Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS) received a festive welcome at London-City (LCY) with the aircraft flying Dutch and UK colours as it taxied to the arrival gate.

As of today, KLM will start a one-daily service from the conveniently located London-City (LCY) airport to KLM’s award-winning hub at Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS) and will further increase frequencies in the following weeks reaching four frequencies per day in time for the commencement of the KLM Summer schedule at the end of March 2017.

The airline will offer a number of connections to its worldwide network of over 150 destinations, including New York, Dubai, Hong Kong and Lagos. All flights will be operated by KLM Cityhopper, using Embraer 190 aircraft, carrying up to 100 passengers.
