After adding Heathrow and Gatwick to its network, the airline will also fly to London City Airport.
As from April 18, TAP customers can book flights to London City Airport, where TAP will operate from October 29 with two daily flights from Monday to Friday and one daily flight on weekends. TAP will therefore serve three London airports, becoming the only airline to operate between Lisbon and London City Airport, located in the financial heart of the city.
By operating to the three preferential airports in London and by offering its passengers a wider choice of connections, TAP is reinforcing its presence in the United Kingdom. The direct flights between Lisbon and London City will operate with the Embraer 190 aircraft, with seat capacity for 106 passengers. The flights will depart Lisbon from Monday to Friday at 6:50am and 4:45pm, and return from London at 10am and 7:55pm. On Saturdays, departing Lisbon and 6:50am and London at 10am, and on Sundays, departing Lisbon at 4:45pm and London at 7:55pm.
In the first trimester of 2017 TAP has already registered 20,3% rise of the number of passengers carried between Lisbon and London. This reinforcement represents the airline’s focus on a strategic market like the United Kingdom. TAP will thus be able to take even more advantage of Lisbon to connect the UK to its intercontinental network.
