Belgian leisure carrier TUI fly will introduce services from Brussels Airport (BRU) to the Croatian island of Brač during the 2017 summer season.

TUI fly expressed interest in flying to the Croatian coast, namely Split (SPU). Since the airport is already handling heavy amount of traffic during summer months the slots offered to TUI fly weren’t convenient for the company. So TUI fly management reached the agreement with Brač (BWK) to start flying from May 23 and will run until October 3. Flights will operate once per week (Tuesday) with an Embraer E190 jet. Beside Brussels (BRU), TUI fly will connect Brač (BWK) with north French airport in Dauville-Normandie (DOL), also with E190.

Brač Airport (BWK) is in the process of extending its runway, which will allow it to cater for larger jet-engine aircraft. Work is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2017 summer season, in late March. (EX-YU Aviation News)
