International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG) announced today that Iberia, its subsidiary, agreed to acquire Air Europa for €1 billion.
IAG backs the A321XLR with an order for 14 aircraft.
The airline will start flying to two new destinations in the Adriatic next summer: Zadar on the Dalmatian Coast and Bari in Italy.
Iberia has yesterday taken delivery of its first of 16 A350 XWB on order, becoming the 18th airline to operate the world’s newest and most efficient twin-engine widebody.
